Tenute Delogu wines all capture the essence of olive groves, palm trees, the sound of the sea and the scent of the Mediterranean scrub. The company owns about 60 hectares of land divided between vineyards and olive groves in the north of Sardinia, between Alghero and Sassari. Vermentino di Sardegna Die clearly represents the spirit of this marvellous native variety, which encapsulates all the characteristics of this land and sea wine. Straw yellow with greenish reflections, it expresses a Mediterranean bouquet, ranging from yellow fruits to flowers and notes of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate it is light but full-bodied, with a wonderful supporting acidity and an interesting full-flavour vein typical of Sardinian seafood wines. Try it as a pairing with local seafood dishes, shellfish and light appetisers, or perhaps on its own as an aperitif during sunset on the beach.
