TASTING NOTES

Production

The Masone Mannu winery is located in northern Sardinia, in the Gallura region, where biodynamic farming is practiced on decomposed granite soils with the aim of further enhancing the area's unique character. Petrizza is made from 100% Vermentino grapes grown on Guyot-trained vines with a planting density of 4,000 vines per hectare. The grapes are hand-harvested into crates during the first half of September, with an average yield of 80 quintals per hectare. Gentle pressing is followed by fermentation at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for at least three months on its fine lees and for an additional month in bottle before being released to the market.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Its bright, lively straw-yellow color is an invitation to drink. The nose reveals fruity and citrus aromas that lead seamlessly to the palate, where the wine is fresh, savory, and long-lasting, with a persistent finish.

Occasion and Pairing

With an almond aftertaste, it is a wine well suited for a perfect Sardinian aperitif or paired with seafood dishes typical of this part of Sardinia.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 12–14°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Masone Mannu

In the heart of the province of Verona lies the Massimago winery, a winery specialising in the production of Veneto wines in Valpolicella. Careful selection of the best grapes, painstaking work and a great love for the land give rise to unique wines that are an expression of the Veneto terroir and the area's winegrowing traditions. Born out of a focus on sustainable viticulture to protect the environment, today these excellent wines represent the search for innovative methods to enjoy a unique experience on the palate. The winery stands on over 28 hectares of land with a south-west exposure, surrounded by woods and natural hollows. The uniqueness of the farm's wines stems from the stratigraphy of the soils that make up the Massimago soils, no less than six layers, each of which offers unique characteristics that contribute to the excellence of the wines, including the renowned Amarone della Valpolicella. The interest in sustainability and environmental responsibility is reflected in innovative techniques to ensure organic viticulture through the use of renewable energy. Name and address of producer/distributor: Massimago - Via Pasquale Paoli 16 - 35122 (PD). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
