TASTING NOTES

The Sa Raja farm is located in the heart of Sardinia, Gallura, a rich and generous land with a strong regional identity that manages to communicate through its energy. Vermentino di Gallura is... Alba, with its harmony, its promise of something new that has yet to surprise us. Vermentino di Gallura di Sa Raja is made from the grapes of the same name, cultivated using the simple Guyot system. It reflects the earth, the salinity, the Sardinian depth. It inhabits soil that shows its granitic, then sandy, mineral-rich nature. Like silk to the taste, it asserts a strong structure that declares memory. The grapes are harvested by hand in crates, followed by destemming and soft pressing at low temperature. Cold static clarification and fermentation in stainless steel vats at 16/18°C for 15 days. No clarification is carried out and ageing takes place on lees for 6 months. Final ageing in the bottle for 2 months. In the glass, it has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose it reveals fragrant and herbaceous aromas of a young, fresh wine. Deep, persistent on the palate and velvety on the finish. A Sardinian white wine ideal as a pairing with steamed shellfish, it also goes very well with vegetarian first courses. To fully appreciate its style, it should be served at a temperature of 8/10°C. Read more Read less
