TASTING NOTES

Perhaps Jermann's most representative label, and certainly one of the most prestigious in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, this white wine is named after Tunina, the former owner of the vineyard where its grapes are grown. There are five types of grapes: Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana, Picolit, some of which were harvested late. It is a true blend: the varieties ferment together in stainless steel, then for ageing part of the wine moves into large wooden barrels. The result is majestic: a bright colour with golden reflections, heralding a broad nose built on honey, fresh flowers and exotic fruit. On the palate it is dry but with great softness and with very good length. A wine for important occasions, in which it can be paired with elaborate fish dishes, white meats and vegetables, up to truffled first courses. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Jermann

Since its foundation at the end of the 19th century, Cantina Jermann's mission has been to enhance the ancient winegrowing traditions of the Friulian countryside. Knowledge of cultivation was handed down from generation to generation until the 1970s, when the founder's disciple was able to combine the study of the most modern techniques with his own ingenious inventiveness. Genius and unruliness, combined with passion and study, has taken the company to the top of the Italian and world wine scene. Another feature of the winery's process is the focus on organic and sustainable viticulture, to reconcile the art of viticulture with respect for the land and the vine times. The company talks to the world every day, but the focus always remains on the concrete things that make a wine great, including the oldest traditions. The end result will give you an extraordinary experience, and allow you to discover the authentic flavour of Friuli wine in a glass.
