Schiopetto’s Venezia Giulia Rivarossa comes from vineyards situated on the Collio hills, in a region characterised by mineral-rich ponca soils, ideal for the development of white grapes of great elegance. The wine is made primarily from Pinot Bianco grapes, with small additions of other selected indigenous white grape varieties. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness, aroma and varietal integrity. Ageing takes place in stainless steel on the fine lees, with periodic bâtonnage, which imparts structure, smoothness and complexity without compromising the wine’s characteristic liveliness.
It has a bright straw-yellow colour. On the nose, it is elegant and refined, with aromas of white-fleshed fruit, apple, pear and citrus, accompanied by light floral and mineral notes typical of the Collio terroir. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, with good structure, balanced flavour and a long, persistent finish that echoes the fruity and mineral notes perceived on the nose.
A versatile wine with character, ideal as an aperitif or throughout a meal. It pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish, vegetable starters, delicate pasta dishes, and fresh or medium-aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
