The Anselmi Winery is located in Monteforte d'Alpone, in the province of Verona, a small village at the foot of the hills. The south-facing vines stretch across 70 hectares of limestone and volcanic tuff soil, on the highest slopes of the Monteforte and Soave hills, and the main grape variety grown is Garganega. A family with a long-standing connection to the world of wine, at the end of the Second World War, Roberto had to sell all the land he owned to support his family. His son chose to remain in the industry, deciding to bottle wine for third parties, but it was only under the name of his grandfather, Roberto, that a turning point came: he sold the winery to invest in the purchase of several plots of land. Today, we can say with confidence that Anselmi succeeded in his aim of producing wines characterised by a distinct sense of place, where Garganega finds its ideal habitat.
