Tignanello is a high-quality red wine produced by the Antinori family at the Tignanello Estate in Chianti Classico. It is one of the pioneers of the Super Tuscan movement, blending Sangiovese with international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, followed by 12 months of aging in French and Hungarian oak barriques, with an additional period in the bottle. Tignanello has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits, such as plum and blackberry, accompanied by hints of sweet spices, vanilla, and licorice. On the palate, it is a structured and harmonious wine, with soft tannins and a good acidity that supports its balance, culminating in a long and persistent finish.
This wine pairs perfectly with roasts, braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. It is ideal for special occasions, elegant dinners, and moments of wine contemplation.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16/18°C.
