TASTING NOTES

Production

Tignanello is a high-quality red wine produced by the Antinori family at the Tignanello Estate in Chianti Classico. It is one of the pioneers of the Super Tuscan movement, blending Sangiovese with international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, followed by 12 months of aging in French and Hungarian oak barriques, with an additional period in the bottle. Valori nutrizionali per 100ml: E = 366kJ/87kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Tignanello has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits, such as plum and blackberry, accompanied by hints of sweet spices, vanilla, and licorice. On the palate, it is a structured and harmonious wine, with soft tannins and a good acidity that supports its balance, culminating in a long and persistent finish.

Occasion and Pairing

This wine pairs perfectly with roasts, braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. It is ideal for special occasions, elegant dinners, and moments of wine contemplation.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16/18°C.

THE WINERY

Marchesi Antinori

The Antinori winery is closely linked with the history of the family of the same name, which, through the work and commitment of 26 generations, has succeeded in establishing itself as one of the most important producers in the wine panorama in Tuscany. The winery itself was founded a few years ago, with local materials and minimal environmental impact, in full respect of the countryside and the surrounding area. The Antinori family has been dedicated to the production of the world's most renowned Tuscan wines for over six hundred years. Over the centuries, family members have handed down techniques, secrets and passion for the land. If Cantina Marchesi Antinori is still a reference point for wine production in the area, it is also due to the courage and wisdom with which its family has managed to fuse the oldest knowledge with modern, cutting-edge techniques. Love and respect for the land today go hand in hand with modernity, for an unforgettable end product. Name and address of producer/distributor: Marchesi Antinori - via Cassia per Siena, 133 Loc. Bargino, 50026 San Casciano val di Pesa (FI). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
