The Solaia vineyards are arranged on sea marl soils with limestone and shale, whose grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese are harvested in perfect condition, selected and gently crushed, transferred by gravity into steel tanks. Fermentation and maceration take place in conical tanks, a phase in which great care is taken to maintain a perfect balance between the fruit and the quality of the tannins, oriented towards sweetness and aromatic fragrance. It follows the malolactic fermentation in barrique and follows a process of aging in French oak barrels for at least 18 months. After an initial period of aging in separate batches, these are assembled to complete the evolution in wood. Solaia Toscana has an intense and deep ruby red color. The nose impresses with intense notes of ripe dark fruit, with sensations of blackberry and black currant alternating with balsamic hints of fresh mint and myrtle; complete the bouquet of refined spicy aromas of white pepper and toasted cinnamon and cocoa powder. The palate is rich and enveloping; the tannins are soft, velvety and vibrant, giving length to the finish and persistence in the aftertaste, where the toasty notes perceived to the nose return. Great meditation wine. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC.
