Frank Cornelissen's Terre Siciliane Munjebel Bianco rises on the northern slopes of Etna, in a unique context for altitude, volcanic soils and microclimate. It is obtained mainly from Carricante grapes, with possible small percentages of other native Etna grape varieties, grown as saplings on mineral-rich lava soils. Viticulture follows natural principles, with minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar. Harvesting is manual and winemaking takes place in a non-interventionist manner, with spontaneous fermentations and without clarification or filtration. The aging takes place in neutral containers, such as fiberglass or concrete tanks, to preserve the pure expression of the terroir and the vintage.
It appears straw yellow with golden reflections. On the nose it is deep, essential and mineral, with notes of citrus, apple, Mediterranean herbs and white flowers, accompanied by evident hints of lava stone and volcanic ash. On the palate it is tense and vibrant, with a marked acidity, a marked flavour and an elegant and vertical structure. The ending is long, saline and persistent, with great personality and territorial identity.
Wine with strong character and authenticity, ideal for careful tastings and for enthusiasts looking for pure territorial expressions. It pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish, shellfish, Mediterranean cuisine, vegetables and simple preparations that enhance its minerality.
To best appreciate its tension and complexity, a service temperature of 10/12°C is recommended.
