The Taurasi Riserva Vigna Quintodecimo is a Cru of 2 hectares of Aglianico, obtained from the homonymous vineyard, planted in 2001 on the northwest side of the estate. The soil consists of expandable clay rocks, very rich in limestone. The grapes are harvested manually at their full phenolic ripeness. After careful sorting, the grapes are destemmed and the crushed berries ferment for 20-25 days at a temperature of 28-30 ºC. Then an Élevage of 18-24 months is made in new oak barrels. The glass shows a subtle balance of small fruits, spices and floral notes. Seductive for class and aromatic intensity, the palate is completed by tasty tannins and well expressed in a deep and refined style. It is a wine of extraordinary richness and elegance, which reaches its peak within the first twenty years of aging, preserving its characteristics for many years. Vigna Quintodecimo is perfect for any meal and goes perfectly with meat or long-aged cheeses. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.
