TASTING NOTES

Rosso Rosae is the wine that Giuseppe Rinaldi used to make from Ruchè grapes, an autochthonous variety from the Monferrato region. However, even in the Langhe, it manages to express its distinctive character and aromatic profile. Today, this wine is still produced by Beppe Rinaldi’s daughters. Although the name "Ruchè" does not appear on the label, as the wine comes from outside the designated denomination area, it remains an important part of the family tradition. In the glass, Rosae shows a deep ruby red color with purple highlights. On the nose, the wine stands out for its varietal character, with the typical rose aroma dominating the bouquet, accompanied by red fruit scents and delicate spicy notes. On the palate, it is smooth, enveloping, and warm, with a lasting finish that leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Giuseppe was particularly fond of this wine, often describing it (without intending to diminish it) as the perfect choice for convivial moments, best enjoyed during merende sinoire (traditional evening snacks) with salami and cheese. To fully appreciate its style, it is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature of 16-18°C. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Giuseppe Rinaldi

A winery that has now become legendary. Giuseppe Rinaldi, known as “Citrico”, has represented the tradition and craftsmanship of the Langa at its best for years. A nickname given because of the “sour” character and that note of “citrus freshness” that characterised all his wines, especially Barolo and Nebbiolo. Having passed away a few years ago, his work is carried on by his daughter Marta Rinaldi with meticulous fidelity to his father's teachings. Attention to the vineyard and care of the environment surrounding the vineyards, minimisation of interventions in the winery, respect for Piedmontese traditions, from long ageing to the use of large Slavonian oak barrels for refinement, not the secrets but the modus operandi handed down through generations that allows Giuseppe Rinaldi wines to be unique and unmistakable, unquestionable points of reference in the production of Piedmontese wines. Name and address of producer/distributor: Giuseppe Rinaldi - Via Monforte, 3, 12060 Barolo CN. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
