TASTING NOTES

The Velenosi family founded the winery which carries their name in the mid-1980s. This young company is full of a passion which reinterprets the ancient traditions of Marche with the verve of modernity. It pursues organic, sustainable agricultural concepts through the use of advanced technologies without compromising on tradition. Rosso Piceno Brecciarolo is made from 70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese grapes, cultivated in vineyards owned by the company and located in the municipalities of Offida and Ascoli Piceno. The local soil is clay-rich and chalky. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel and then undergo maceration on the skins for around 20 days. Ageing takes place in second-use barriques. A ruby red in colour with garnet reflections, this is an intense wine with marked hints of fleshy berry fruits. Fresh floral hints of violet and suggestions of spice can be discerned. Persistent, warm, full-bodied, and harmonious, the taste of this wine confirms the notes perceived on the nose. This wine is both distinguished and charismatic.
