Col Vetoraz stands atop the Cartizze hills, in the heart of Valdobbiadene’s finest wine-growing area, where the steep pre-Alpine slopes shelter the vineyards from cold winds and create a natural amphitheatre perfect for viticulture and the production of quality wines. It was in 1993 that Francesco Miotto took the reins of the existing family business, giving rise to Col Vetoraz, a winery that established itself within a few years as one of the leading producers of Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG. Col Vetoraz’s Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut is produced in the historic and prestigious area of this region, from Glera grapes that are typically fresh and rich in aromas thanks to the significant temperature variations caused by the proximity to the Pre-Alpine hills. Bright straw-yellow in colour with a creamy perlage, this Prosecco is a fresh, immediate and pleasant-to-drink sparkling wine. With delicate aromas of citrus, pear and white flowers, it offers a palate of great freshness and lively flavour, harmonious and dry on the finish.
Refreshing and graceful, it is perfect as an aperitif or to accompany light dishes based on fish and vegetables.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.
