TASTING NOTES

Production

Serena Wines’ Prosecco Rosé Brut Millesimato Olimpiadi Milano-Cortina 2026 is produced in the vine-covered hills of Veneto from a blend of Glera and Pinot Noir grapes vinified as rosé. The grapes are harvested by hand, with the bunches selected at the right stage of ripeness to enhance freshness and aromatic character. Vinification involves soft pressing of the grapes and separate fermentations in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by the second fermentation using the long Charmat method, which imparts structure, fine bubbles and great harmony. The Brut dosage enhances balance, purity and drinkability. 100 ml: 280 kJ/67 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Visually, it presents a bright, pale pink colour with a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, there are elegant aromas of fresh red fruits, strawberry, raspberry and cherry, accompanied by floral notes of rose and wildflowers, balanced by citrus undertones. On the palate, it is fresh, dynamic and harmonious, with delicate bubbles, good liveliness and a dry, pleasant finish, characterised by fruity notes.

Occasion and Pairing

A versatile and festive sparkling wine, perfect for toasts and convivial moments linked to the Olympic celebrations, but also suitable throughout a meal. It pairs beautifully with light starters, sushi and sashimi, fish dishes, summer salads, shellfish and desserts featuring strawberries or red berries.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.

THE WINERY

Serena Wines

The hilly areas of Veneto are known for the quality of their wines, in particular the Prosecco. Here, in 1881, Pietro Serena founded the Serena Wines winery, the first distillery producing wines sold and preserved inside wooden barrels. The winery's connection to the area was immediately evident and is still a characteristic feature today. In fact, the company owns several brands and estates that are distributed in the surrounding areas. Quality grapes of various types are grown on the different hectares of property. Fine white wines such as Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, red wines such as Merlot and Cabernet and sparkling wines such as Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOCG and Prosecco DOC are made from them. Serena Wines' production processes have always been characterized by enormous respect for biodiversity and the local ecosystem. Furthermore, territorial sustainability projects have been implemented recently, including in collaboration with several universities, to further ensure the intrinsic quality that has always distinguished its products.
