Production

Nebbiolo di Le Piane is produced with the eponymous pure grapes from the Novaresi hills, whose grapes macerate for six days with a daily reassembly and age in steel for about nine months. This Nebbiolo is a wine with a great vocation, with an aging potential for 2-3 years. Nutritional values E(100ml): 293kJ/70kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Savoury and fragrant, Nebbiolo di Le Piane appears on the calyx with an intense ruby red colour, emerging on the nose with a rich hint of dark berries and spicy aromas of licorice, juniper and tobacco. On the palate it appears fresh and very mineral, with good fruit and soft tannins with a long and elegant persistence.

Occasion and Pairing

Nebbiolo di Le Piane is perfect for accompanying pasta dishes, meat dishes, and aged cheeses: in particular, it pairs perfectly with Fassona beef.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.

Founded in 1998 by Christoph Kunzli and Alexandr Trolf, Le Piane winery is located in the Natural Park of Monte Fenera, in the province of Novara. The excellence of Le Piane winery is the result of the combination of a terroir favorable to the cultivation and recovery of ancient traditions: the volcanic soil and the prealpine climate define the wines of Le Piane. The company works in complete respect of nature, using only copper and sulfur in the vineyard, with organic phytopharmaceuticals and in the cellar are preferred spontaneous fermentation, thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts.
