TASTING NOTES

Le Piane winery is located in the Natural Park of Monte Fenera, in the province of Novara and is today one of the wine reference points of northern Piedmont. Nebbiolo di Le Piane is produced with the homonymous grapes of the Novara hills, whose grapes macerate for six days with a replacement per day and age for about nine months in steel. This Nebbiolo is a wine with a great vocation, with a potential for aging for 2-3 years. Sapid and fragrant, Nebbiolo di Le Piane is presented to the glass with an intense ruby red color, emerging to the nose with a rich hint of dark berries and spicy aromas of licorice, juniper and tobacco. The palate is fresh and very mineral, with good fruit and soft tannins with a long and elegant persistence. Nebbiolo di Le Piane is perfect to accompany pasta dishes, meat dishes and mature cheeses: in particular it goes perfectly with Fassona meat. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.
