A family business, located in Massa Lubrense in Campania, a few kilometres from Naples. The Il Convento farm has its roots way back in 1935, when Antonino Pollio took over land that until then had been worked, cultivated and then abandoned by the friars. Following the techniques learned in previous years, he therefore started a series of crops that were then handed down by family, specializing over the years in the production of lemons for the typical limoncello of the Sorrento peninsula. Today, Il Convento produces liqueurs, oil, wines and other specialties from its own lands, following the principles of organic farming, through artisan productions in total respect for nature and its cycles. This exquisite bittersweet liqueur with real flavour comes from the lemons of Sorrento. The lemons grown by the Pollio family are the "Oval from Sorrento" variety, a succulent citrus fruit of great value. The bottles of limoncello produced at Il Convento are completely free from preservatives and colourings. Its inimitable tasting profile depends directly on the excellent quality of the lemons from which it is obtained and on the care with which the maceration takes place using the ancient recipe handed down from generation to generation. Intense yellow, fresh and velvety, very pleasant to taste, it releases all the natural scents of the PGI Sorrento Oval Lemon. A bottle to be enjoyed ice-cold at the end of a meal, after coffee, when the moment for meditation arrives.
