TASTING NOTES

Production

Tellus Chardonnay is produced from vineyards located in the municipality of Castiglione in Teverina, where the vines are carefully managed throughout the various phenological stages, ensuring optimal ripening. The Chardonnay was harvested during the first week of September, immediately undergoes cold cryomaceration and is fermented at a low temperature to fully express its distinctive aromatic notes. The wine is then kept on its lees until it is ready for bottling. 100 ml: E=330 kJ/79 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Straw-yellow in colour with green hues, Tellus Chardonnay reveals inviting, typical aromas on the nose, with citrus and white floral notes. On the palate, it is round, pleasant and slightly tart.

Occasion and Pairing

Excellent paired with liver pâté or with seafood dishes featuring fish, molluscs and crustaceans.

Serving Temperature

THE WINERY

Famiglia Cotarella

Founded in 1979 by the brothers Riccardo and Renzo Cotarella, Falesco’s philosophy is focused on the search for a balance between the uniqueness of the traditions of Lazio wines and the versatility of the grapes used. For over 50 years the Cotarella family has been enhancing local production by adopting scientific methods and cutting-edge techniques to revitalize local wine traditions. The hilly area of volcanic origin on which the vineyards of Falesco winery extend, between Lake Bolsena in Lazio andUmbria, is an area with climatic and pedological characteristics particularly suitable for the viticulture of the place. With the acquisition of new territories, for a total of 260 hectares of calcareous soil, Falesco thus undertakes the production of typical wines of the Umbrian terroir: Merlot, Verdicchio and Sangiovese. Combining a careful research of ancient grape varieties with advanced technologies, the Cotarella brothers follow a highly scientific approach to the creation of those fine red wines from Lazio today renowned internationally. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Famiglia Cotarella - Loc. San Pietro Snc - 05020 Montecchio (TR). The products of this cellar must be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
