For the founder of the Cigliuti winery, the secret of the family wine lies in the land where the vines are cultivated. The terroir of Langhe, with its extraordinary properties, is capable of producing a unique wine to be processed with care and attention. Where the soil faces south-west, and has a more limestone composition, Docetto and Nebbiolo are cultivated, while in the south-eastern, clay-rich part, Barbera is grown. Of course, a lot depends on looking after the land and the respect for the vines' timing, but the work in the cellar also contributes to making this production special.
