TASTING NOTES

Production

La Spinetta is a highly prestigious Italian winery with roots in two important Italian regions, Piedmont and Tuscany. From the 1980s, the winery began working with red grape varieties too: Barbera, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo, respecting the terroir and meticulously cultivating certain crus to produce excellent Piedmontese red wines. The project continued into the 2000s in Tuscany with Casanova della Spinetta, cultivating Sangiovese. Spinetta’s Langhe Nebbiolo DOC is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. It is aged in second- and third-use French oak barrels for 12 months and then in the bottle for approximately 6 months. 100 ml: E=325 kJ/78 kcal

THE WINERY

La Spinetta

The company La Stoppa is located in Rivergaro, in Val Trebbia, on the first hills of the province of Piacenza, in the North West tip of Emilia-Romagna. Today the company is led by his daughter Elena, supported by Giulio Armani, present in the company since 1980. The estate covers 58 hectares, dominated by a regime of organic agriculture and all processing is carried out manually, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Spontaneous fermentation and long maceration allow to obtain balanced wines with a greater extraction of polyphenolic substances, keeping the characteristics of each harvest well distinct. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: La Stoppa - Località Stoppa, 220 - 29029 Rivergaro (PC) - Italia. The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
