Segnana is a historic Trentino distillery that has been using quality raw materials to produce fine spirits since 1860. After over a century of history, in 1982 the Lunelli brothers—who had become the main suppliers of pomace thanks to their work with the prestigious Ferrari sparkling wine house—acquired the distillery, ushering in its modern success. The Solera Segnana Collection grappa is undoubtedly the company’s flagship spirit, produced by distilling Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes intended for the production of Ferrari Metodo Classico and aged in barriques using the Solera method for a long period. It is the ideal product for lovers of wood-aged spirits, which express typical aromas and a distinct smoothness.
In the glass, it displays an intense amber colour, whilst the nose reveals notes of spice, dried fruit, pastries and citrus. On the palate, it is warm, enveloping and offers great length and balance.
Try it after a meal accompanied by dark chocolate or on its own in good company.
To fully appreciate its style, this grappa should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
