Fumin di Grosjean is made from the native grape variety of the same name, recently enhanced to offer strong sensations, such as the harshness of the terrain and the mountain where it originates. This is followed by winemaking with its yeasts in wooden vats with 3-4 fullings per day for 12-14 days, and aging in large wooden barrels for 11 months. It also lends itself to further refinement in the bottle for 5-6 years. 100 ml: E=312 kJ/74.5 kcal
At the calyx it has an intense ruby red colour, is persistent and fine to the smell, with fruity undergrowth aromas and light but complex spicy notes. It opens wide and soft on the palate with a great wealth of tannins that give it elegance and freshness and is a wine suitable for long aging in the bottle.
Excellent in combination with red meats, game or long-aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.
