TASTING NOTES

Fumin di Grosjean is made from the homonymous autochthonous vine, recently enhanced to offer strong sensations, such as the hardness of the territory and the mountain in which it is born. This is followed by a vinification with its yeasts in wooden vats with 3-4 daily fillings for 12-14 days, and an aging in large wooden barrels for 11 months. It is also suitable for a further aging in bottle for 5-6 years. The glass has an intense ruby red color, it is persistent and fine to the nose, with fruity hints of undergrowth and light but complex spicy notes. It opens wide and soft on the palate with great richness of tannins that give it elegance and freshness and is a wine suitable for long aging in the bottle. Excellent in combination with red meat, game or mature cheeses. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Grosjean

Grosjean has been working with the land and its fruits for generations: a representative winery of the Aosta Valley, synonymous with excellence and quality while respecting the best traditions of mountain viticulture. The history of the Grosjean family dates back to the late eighteenth century with a property today of 15 hectares divided into many parcels distributed in the most suitable areas of the territory. Today the winery is run by brothers and cousins who share the tasks in order to cover all the roles of the company. Since 2011, the company has been working in certified organic farming, in full respect of the pristine Alpine natural environment. Grosjean’s wines are simple, straightforward and true to tradition. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Azienda Grosjean - Grosjean Vins, Villaggio Ollignan, 2 - 11020 Quart (AO) - Italia.
