TASTING NOTES

Production

Arici’s Franciacorta Dosaggio Zero Rosé is a Metodo Classico sparkling wine made from a selection of Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards situated between 150 and 350 metres above sea level. After fermentation, it rests for around 6 months in steel vats on its noble lees, followed by a second fermentation and approximately 24 months of ageing on the lees. This is followed by a further 3 months of bottle ageing. Production of this sparkling wine is extremely limited, with around 4,000 bottles.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Pale pink in colour, the nose offers hints of small red berries, pleasant aromas of bread crust and lively minerality. On the palate, it is straightforward and full of character, with a long finish enhanced by lively, crisp acidity and a stony savouriness.

Occasion and Pairing

The perfect wine for a romantic dinner featuring fish and shellfish.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this Rosé should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Arici

The story of this winery began in the late 1990s, when the founder decided to restore some old terraced vineyards in the far eastern part of the Franciacorta terroir of Gussago. After years of work to restore the vines in the area to their former glory, amid the recovery of ancient traditions and the study of innovative, avant-garde techniques, the results were incredibly promising. The terroir on which the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines are planted has very special characteristics: perfectly draining active limestone, capable of imparting great minerality and salinity to the wine produced. The initial decision to allocate a small part of that vineyard to the production of a modest quantity of Franciacorta proved to be successful, giving the Arici winery unexpected yet well-deserved popularity. From that first “sparkling wine base”, the Arici adventure has continued to take the production of Lombardy wines to new heights. Name and address of producer/distributor: Arici - Via Forcella, 70, 25064 Gussago BS. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
