The Colline della Stella company was established in the late nineteen-nineties out of the great and impetuous passion of young Andrea Arici who, with the help of his father Francesco, recovered the ancient abandoned land in the municipality of Gussago, east of Franciacorta. The steep slopes of these hills and the limestone soils immediately prove to be an ideal combination for Pinot Noir, which expresses itself here with great strength, vitality and energy. Arici's Franciacorta Dosaggio Zero is made from 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir grapes, which spend 6 months in stainless steel on their lees before being drawn, followed by 18 to 30 months of bottle ageing on the lees and a further ageing of at least 3 months after disgorgement. Perfect for a toast in company or to accompany fish based dishes and to be drunk throughout a meal, in the glass Arici's Dosaggio Zero presents a bright straw yellow colour and fine, lively perlage. On the nose it is reminiscent of citrus fruits, pastry aromas and explodes with an intriguing minerality, all over a delicate scent of white flowers. On the palate, it is characterised by full flavour with good structure and length that play on a lively and enticing freshness. Its freshness makes it excellent as an aperitif with appetisers or with hot fish starters.
