TASTING NOTES

Production

From the 1960s onwards, the tavern was definitively transformed into a winery, thanks to the drive of Otello’s grandsons, Giovanni and Bruno, who were the first to recognise the potential of their grandfather’s Lambrusco, going on to establish a style and identity that would see the wines of the Ceci winery appreciated worldwide as expressions of Emilian joy and conviviality. Today, the winery is run by Otello’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who, drawing on their heritage, are steering the winery towards new projects and opportunities. Dedicated to the illustrious composer Giuseppe Verdi, Terre Verdiane 1813 is produced from two varieties of Lambrusco typical of the Parma area, Maestri and Marani. A highly enjoyable and easy-drinking wine that perfectly captures the convivial and hospitable spirit of the best of Emilia. 100 ml - E: 291 kJ/69 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red colour with a dense, inviting head, opening up on the nose to a bouquet of ripe red fruit, blackberry and violet with subtle herbaceous notes. On the palate, the fruity notes stand out, in a blend of great balance and freshness, where balanced tannins lead to a smooth finish that invites another sip.

Occasion and Pairing

Lambrusco Secco Terre Verdiane is the perfect everyday wine, to be enjoyed as an aperitif or throughout a meal with typical Emilian cured meats and cheeses, but also with hearty first courses such as ragù or stuffed pasta.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 12–14°C.

THE WINERY

Ceci

Deep in the lush green Emilian countryside stands the Ceci winery, born of an ancient passion. Before it was founded, the winery was an inn, the owner of which, Otello, was a great wine connoisseur and enthusiast. The great care and passion he put into his work led him to personally purchase and process the grapes available in the area to produce the Lambrusco he served in his inn. This great passion and knowledge of the terroir, passed down to his children, led to the foundation of the Ceci winery. A company for which knowledge of the raw material and attention to detail are fundamental, right from the very first stages of production. Traditional techniques have been harmoniously combined with more modern ones, contributing to the creation of a special product. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, from cultivation to the wine product, to give you the chance to enjoy some of the best high-quality Emilia-Romagna wines. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ceci - Strada Provinciale di Golese, 99, 43056 Torrile PR. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
