TASTING NOTES

Production

Giuseppe Rinaldi's Dolcetto d'Alba was born from the historic vineyards cultivated in the heart of the Langhe, where the Dolcetto grape variety finds ideal conditions for developing fruit, drinkability, and character. The grapes are harvested manually at the moment of perfect ripeness, to preserve fresh aromas and liveliness. Winemaking takes place in a traditional way: fermentation in steel tanks with moderate maceration on the skins, designed to extract color and aromas without superstructures. The refinement takes place first in steel and then in bottles, maintaining the authentic and sincere style of the cellar, marked by the natural expressiveness of the grape variety.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It looks bright ruby red. On the nose it expresses immediate aromas of fresh red fruits — cherry, raspberry and plum — accompanied by light floral notes and aromas of aromatic herbs. On the palate it is fresh, pleasant and instantly drinkable, with soft tannins, good acidity and a dry and harmonious finish that recalls fruity sensations.

Occasion and Pairing

Versatile and very pleasant wine, ideal for accompanying informal or convivial meals. It pairs perfectly with pastas with light toppings, white meats, cured meats, pizza, Piedmontese dishes and fresh or semi‑cured cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To best appreciate its freshness and immediacy, a serving temperature of 14/16°C is recommended.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Giuseppe Rinaldi

A winery that has now become legendary. Giuseppe Rinaldi, known as “Citrico”, has represented the tradition and craftsmanship of the Langa at its best for years. A nickname given because of the “sour” character and that note of “citrus freshness” that characterised all his wines, especially Barolo and Nebbiolo. Having passed away a few years ago, his work is carried on by his daughter Marta Rinaldi with meticulous fidelity to his father's teachings. Attention to the vineyard and care of the environment surrounding the vineyards, minimisation of interventions in the winery, respect for Piedmontese traditions, from long ageing to the use of large Slavonian oak barrels for refinement, not the secrets but the modus operandi handed down through generations that allows Giuseppe Rinaldi wines to be unique and unmistakable, unquestionable points of reference in the production of Piedmontese wines. Name and address of producer/distributor: Giuseppe Rinaldi - Via Monforte, 3, 12060 Barolo CN. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
