TASTING NOTES

Azienda Agricola Reale has centuries of experience of farming on the Amalfi Coast of Campania. It still has native ungrafted vines, grown a few km from the sea, in the splendid scenery of the picturesque village of Gete, where they have found their natural habitat, benefiting from a mild climate all year round. The winery cultivates its vineyards organically in a timeless setting, rich with the scents of the earth and the salty breeze that rises from the sea. It practises pre-Phylloxera viticulture with majestic and secular vineyards that are true archaeological monuments in the open air. This type of viticulture is still regarded as heroic because the steep terrain does not allow the various processes to be mechanised. The vineyards are particularly characteristic of the place, admirably grown using the Tramonti and Guyot Traditional Pergola system, which allows the land beneath the vineyard to be cultivated with vegetables that can be enjoyed in the various dishes prepared in the winery’s restaurant. The name Aliseo refers to the winds that bring good weather and is subsequently found in the glass to wish the wine drinker happiness. The clayey and volcanic soils are fundamental for the production of this wine. A blend of three different white grape varieties: Biancolella, Biancazita and Peppella, Aliseo manages to perfectly represent the Costa d'Amalfi DOC, leading to the rediscovery of native and almost forgotten vines. Immediately after harvesting, the grapes are transported to the cellar, gently pressed to maintain all their characteristics and then aged in the bottle for 3 months before being sold. This straw yellow white wine from Campania expresses a scent of yellow fruit, citrus and lemon peel, delighting the palate with its minerality, freshness and elegance. Ideal every day and perfect to combine with fish and shellfish dishes. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Reale

The production of the Ricci Curbastro family dates back centuries, with the strength of the traditions and secrets handed down from generation to generation. In addition to the companies in Lugo in the municipality of Romagna and Rontana in the municipality of Brisighella, the family also runs the estate of the same name. The latter is located in the area of Franciacorta, and is one of the most important in the production of high-quality Lombardy wines. A painstaking work full of commitment, behind which lies also a great study of the territory and the most modern techniques, to bring out the best not only of the terroir, but also of the raw material. The winery boasts a surface area of around thirty hectares, most of which are planted with vineyards and farmed according to the strict rules of “Consorzio vini Franciacorta”. Fermentation takes place in an underground wine cellar and as a result of its strategic location, it favours slow and steady maturation, leading to an absolutely spectacular end result. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ricci Curbastro - Via Adro, 37, 25031 Capriolo (BS). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
