I Clivi’s Malvasia comes from the vineyards of Brazzano di Cormons, which are over 80 years old. Such old vines are few in number but more than make up for it by producing grapes of the highest quality, which we then find in Mario Zanusso’s wines. In keeping with his philosophy, the journey of the Malvasia from vineyard to bottle takes place entirely in stainless steel. The wine is aged on fine lees for 12 months before bottling. In the glass, the white wine displays a beautiful golden colour. The nose is captivated by enticing floral and fresh notes, with chamomile blossom standing out. The palate is pleasantly dry, full-bodied, mineral, and has just the right length.
It pairs well with fish and shellfish, and seafood dishes in general, whether fried or served with a sauce. It’s also perfect for sharing with friends as an excellent aperitif.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
