THE WINERYLunae Bosoni
In the Lunigiana area, in the province of La Spezia and on the border with Tuscany, is the Lunae Bosoni winery. Founded in 1970 by the family of Paolo Bosoni, who had dedicated himself to viticulture since 1966 to enhance the excellence of native Ligurian wines, it is one of the most important wineries in the region.
The reputation of the winery's products is due to several factors. First and foremost, the terroir provides character to Lunae Bosone wines. With its 45 hectares, divided between various vineyards that occupy no more than 2 or 3, the estate occupies areas that stretch from the plains to the mountains, passing through hilly areas. The Apuan Alps are in fact what protects against cold northern winds, while the proximity to the sea guarantees excellent ventilation and temperature range. Everything contributes to the production of white wines of enormous quality, Vermentino in particular, to which other indigenous cultivations such as Albarola, Malvasia, Vermentino Nero, Massareta and Pollera Nera have been added.
But it doesn't end there: it is not only the varied composition of the vineyard soils, with traces of marble from the Alps in the area, olive groves, and Mediterranean climate and scrub, that guarantee the specificity of the wines produced here. Another important factor is the use of natural growing techniques, eliminating herbicides and using natural fertilisers, harvesting the grapes by hand and making a careful selection by tasting. Everything is aimed at respecting the land and its biodiversity and preserving the indigenous tradition, putting decades of passion into every step of the production process. Name and address of producer/distributor: Lunae Bosoni - Via Palvotrisia, 2, 19030 Castelnuovo Magra SP. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
