TASTING NOTES

The Maison Dom Pérignon is nestled in the heart of the regionChampagne on a hill overlooking the Marne Valley, where Hautvillers Abbey is the cradle of the most famous Maison de Champagne in the world. A selection of the best grapes for a single vintage, to best interpret the exclusive character of each Champagne, Dom Pérignon does not exclude the possibility of creating a Vintage, at a time when the vintage is not qualitatively good. The fruit of a slow aging of almost 12 years, Dom Pérignon Rosé Brut is carnal, at the same time light, dark and magnetic. The fruity profile, with an intense aromatic persistence, frees it from the canons of Champagne. The bouquet opens instantly on raspberry and wild strawberry. The fruity notes are combined with powdery notes of iris and violet and vegetal nuances. The first sensations are tactile and silky, which gradually open to sour textures. The finish is affirmed and persists in a scent of peony and white pepper. Its charm makes it elegant in combination with fresh cheeses or fish dishes such as fried, fish soup with tomato sauce, grilled fish. To fully appreciate its style, this Champagne should be served at a serving temperature of 8/10 ºC. Read more Read less
LA CANTINA

Dom Pérignon

Nestled in the heart of Champagne on a hill overlooking the Marne Valley, Hautvillers Abbey is the cradle of the Dom Pérignon Maison. Synonymous with elegance, luxury and prestige, the name recalls Abbot Pierre Pérignon who, according to legend, invented Champagne in the Abbey of Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers, near Épernay, Grand Cru of the Vallée de la Marne. The Maison producing Champagne Dom Pérignon is Moët & Chandon, which succeeded in creating a prestigious Champagne by selecting the best Reserves and choosing only the best Vintage. Dom Pérignon uses mainly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The art of blending is based on the ability to create harmony: the fruity soul of Chardonnay combined with the power and softness of Pinot Noir. The slow evolution gives the Dom Pérignon vintage an incredible ageing potential. Hence the greatest Champagne of all time: Dom Pérignon. Name and address of producer/distributor: 2. Dom Pérignon, Abbaye d'Hautvillers-21 Rue de l'Abbaye, 51160 Hautvillers - France. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
