TASTING NOTES

Champagne Premier Cru Nature Amélie is a Blanc de Blancs made from only 100% Chardonnay grapes, coming from the parcels of Clos, Fosses and Alouettes (Villers Marmery), with an average age of 50 years. Champagne Amélie vinifies on fine lees for 9 months and ages on lees for a further 7 years. The glass has a pale yellow color and green reflections in white gold. The nose is dominated by scents of rose, acacia and cloves. The aeration of the Champagne reveals notes of licorice, brioche and marzipan, with nuances on the finish of anise and iodine notes. The palate is supported by citrus notes such as lemon, grapefruit and mineral hints with a chalky and mint freshness background. Perfect as an aperitif or in combination with delicate fish dishes. To fully appreciate its style, this Champagne should be served at a serving temperature of 8/10 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Henriet Bazin

The Henriet-Bazin family has been working the land for five generations, taking care of the vineyards and making wines with the desire to offer cuvées that express the unique, complex and delicious terroir of the estate’s vineyards. The company is a small Maison that produces about 70 thousand bottles a year and only process grapes owned by the vineyards in the Montagne de Reims in Ville Marmery, one of the three villages dedicated to the production of Chardonnay. The history of the estate began in 1890 when Gaston Henriet decided to keep part of the harvest to try the adventure of winemaking. The company works with respect for nature, the land and the vineyards: planting plants to replace fertilizers, abandonment of herbicides, work in harmony with the lunar cycles, respect for insects. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Henriet-Bazin - 9, Rue des Mises - 51380 Villers-Marmery- France. The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
