La Maison Veuve Clicquot è stata fondata a Reims nel 1772 e deve il suo nome alla famosa vedova Clicquot che permise all'azienda di raggiungere una dimensione internazionale. Lo stile della Maison si contraddistingue dall'utilizzo delle uve Pinot Nero, attraverso la produzione di Champagne strutturati di grande finezza ed eleganza. Champagne Brut Vintage 2015 è stata un'annata prodigiosa e di grande soddisfazione, con uve di un'ottima maturazione e acidità piuttosto elevata. L'unicità della collezione Veuve Clicquot Vintage risiede nell'aggiunta di vini invecchiati in grandi botti di rovere, che apportano forza e intensità aromatica. La predominanza del Pinot Nero e il tocco legnoso apportano struttura e carattere, marchio distintivo dello stile Veuve Clicquot. Le vinificazioni avvengono in acciaio e, per solo il 5%, in botti di rovere. L’affinamento sui lieviti di quasi 6 anni in bottiglia permette il raggiungimento della sua maturità espressiva e di una bella complessità aromatica, giocata su sentori varietali di frutta, fiori e agrumi uniti a tonalità tostate, di lievito e frutta secca. Questo Vintage incarna il concetto di Gran Vin de Champagne. Al calice si presenta con un giallo brillante e sottili riflessi dorati; al palato l'attacco è fresco e strutturato. Appaiono quindi i primi aromi di frutta con crostata di mirabella, agrumi canditi e note di pere arrostite. Infine, si manifestano le note rinfrescanti di nocciole verdi e mandorle. Champagne Vintage Brut è ideale in abbinamento con capesante affumicate o un primo piatto con gambero di acqua dolce. In 1805, the young Madame Clicquot suddenly became widowed. At only 27 years old, she took over the reins of the house founded in 1772 by her late husband. Guided by her great passion and ability for excellence, she created her first Champagne vintage in 1810. In addition to reflecting exceptional savoir-faire, the production process of Veuve Clicquot Champagne has always been very creative, based mainly on the blending of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes. One quality, the best. This is the spirit of Maison Veuve Clicquot. Today, the house owns some 390 hectares of vineyards, spread over Grand Cru and Premier Cru in Champagne and characterised by chalky soil, responsible for the mineral notes of the Champagne Clicquot cuvées. Since 2002, the house has adopted organic and sustainable viticulture, applied from vine cultivation to vinification and maturation activities.
