TASTING NOTES

A name linked to a family history with a long Champenoise tradition, founded in the second half of the 1800s. Winemakers since 1848, the properties are mainly located in the Vallée du Petit Morin and in Côte Des Blancs. Today, the winery is managed by the third generation with Adrien Bergère, the current Chef de Cave, who is developing the brand and increasing the range of Cuvées. A. Bergère’s style is clearly expressed in this cuvée Champagne Brut Origine, which is the Maison’s benchmark. Origine represents the family’s origins and traditions, reflecting the properties of the vineyards in the territories of Ferebrianges, Etoges and Congy in the blend. Elegant, rounded and rich, it reveals a unique floral and fruity aromatic profile. A refined Champagne made from 70% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, 10% Meunier, selected from premium grape varieties. Partially vinified in barriques, it is blended with 30% Reserve Wines. It is bright yellow in the glass, accompanied by a perfect balance of fruit and flowers, quince and a nice tension on the finish. This is the ideal wine for aperitifs with friends, receptions and country lunches. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

A. Bergère

Champagne A. Bergère was founded in the second half of the 1800s, a savoir-faire that has been handed down for over two centuries. Winemakers since 1848, the company's properties are located in the Vallée du Petit Morin and Côte Des Blancs. Albert Bergère founded the Maison in 1948 in Ferebrinages, and later André together with his wife Brigitte bought the new premises, considerably increasing the number of estate vineyards and increasing the range of Cuvées, developing the Bergère brand’s reputation. Today, the company is led by Adrien, whose main objective is to enhance the richness of the Maison's terroir as much as possible, adopting a different philosophy and setting his style in the creation of the liqueur de dosage and the use of barriques for ageing to improve and enrich the organoleptic profile of Bergère Champagnes. With over 65 hectares of property cultivated in Lutte Raisonnée, Adrien selects the best grapes and plots of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, vinifying partially in stainless steel and in wood. The Champagnes signed Bergère are produced from the best grapes and only in the best vintages. Name and address of producer/distributor: Champagne A. Bergère - 40 Av. de Champagne, 51200 Épernay - France. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
