TASTING NOTES

Champagne Brut La Grande Dame is radiant for a wine rich in tension and elegance. The verticality of this prestigious wine is highlighted by the Pinot Noir from the historic Grand Crus vineyards. La Grande Dame, a refined blend that represents the ultimate expression of the Maison’s wine expertise, with excellent ageing potential. Born only in the best vintages chosen by the chef de cave, La Grande Dame is made of grapes for 90% of Pinot Noir and 10% of Chardonnay, harvested and assembled from vineyards owned by 8 villages Grand Crus, Some of which had been purchased by the Grande Dame in the past. The component of Chardonnay gives softness and strength, maintaining the elegance and finesse of Pinot Noir. The long aging of almost 10 years in the gypsum cellars, allows it to reach its perfect aromatic maturity and to keep for a long time. For this new vintage of La Grande Dame, color master Paola Paronetto meets the excellence of Veuve Clicquot with an exclusive collaboration. A chromatic symphony that recalls harmony, using a rain of colors drawn from its palette, infused with emotions, optimism and produced in a sustainable way. Against the light, Grande Dame reveals a captivating color, golden and sparkling. This sunny wine, yet elegant and precise, offers freshness and minerality, revealing delicate floral notes of jasmine and acacia that evolve into notes of pear and clementine. The first sip wraps the palate with a pleasant, sober and velvety texture. La Grande Dame expresses itself through revolutionary dishes of fresh vegetables and fruits becoming the protagonist. Also recommended in combination with a roast of lobster with crunchy vegetables and licorice sauce. To fully appreciate the style, this champagne must be served at a service temperature of 8/10°C. THE WINERY

Veuve Clicquot

In 1805, the young Madame Clicquot suddenly became widowed. At only 27 years old, she took over the reins of the house founded in 1772 by her late husband. Guided by her great passion and ability for excellence, she created her first Champagne vintage in 1810. In addition to reflecting exceptional savoir-faire, the production process of Veuve Clicquot Champagne has always been very creative, based mainly on the blending of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes. One quality, the best. This is the spirit of Maison Veuve Clicquot. Today, the house owns some 390 hectares of vineyards, spread over Grand Cru and Premier Cru in Champagne and characterised by chalky soil, responsible for the mineral notes of the Champagne Clicquot cuvées. Since 2002, the house has adopted organic and sustainable viticulture, applied from vine cultivation to vinification and maturation activities. Name and address of producer/distributor: Veuve Clicquot, 12, rue du Temple, 51100 Reims - France. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
