TASTING NOTES

Production

The history of Ceci began in 1938 in a tavern a few kilometres from Parma, where, alongside cured meats and traditional Emilian dishes, Otello Ceci offered his guests wine of his own making, produced from grapes sourced from local growers. From the 1960s onwards, the tavern was definitively transformed into a winery, thanks to the drive of his grandsons, Giovanni and Bruno, who were the first to recognise the potential of their grandfather’s Lambrusco, eventually establishing a style and identity that would lead to the wines of the Ceci winery being appreciated worldwide as expressions of Emilian joy and conviviality. Today, the winery is run by Otello’s grandsons and great-grandsons, who, drawing on their heritage, are steering the winery towards new projects and opportunities. Ceci Otello Rosé is an Extra Dry sparkling wine produced from Pinot Noir grapes, vinified using the Martinotti method. It is a wine of great fragrance and pleasantness, which highlights the distinctive characteristics of an international grape variety, whilst maintaining a character and verve that are distinctly Emilian. 100 ml - E: 311kJ/74kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Otello Rosé appears in the glass as a pale pink colour, with a lively and luminous perlage, revealing notes of cherries and wild berries on the nose, with a floral and slightly spicy touch. On the palate, the aromas detected on the nose return, their freshness amplified by a crisp and pleasant effervescence.

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal as an aperitif and for sharing with friends on any occasion, this rosé pairs excellently with cured meats, as well as fish-based finger food.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 12–14°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Ceci

Deep in the lush green Emilian countryside stands the Ceci winery, born of an ancient passion. Before it was founded, the winery was an inn, the owner of which, Otello, was a great wine connoisseur and enthusiast. The great care and passion he put into his work led him to personally purchase and process the grapes available in the area to produce the Lambrusco he served in his inn. This great passion and knowledge of the terroir, passed down to his children, led to the foundation of the Ceci winery. A company for which knowledge of the raw material and attention to detail are fundamental, right from the very first stages of production. Traditional techniques have been harmoniously combined with more modern ones, contributing to the creation of a special product. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, from cultivation to the wine product, to give you the chance to enjoy some of the best high-quality Emilia-Romagna wines. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ceci - Strada Provinciale di Golese, 99, 43056 Torrile PR. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
