TASTING NOTES

Ceci’s story begins in 1938 in a tavern near Parma, where Otello Ceci started offering guests his own wine made from locally grown grapes, alongside cold cuts and traditional Emilia-Romagna dishes. In the 1960s, Ceci’s grandchildren Giovanni and Bruno encouraged their grandfather to convert the tavern into a winery. They saw the potential of their grandfather's Lambrusco, whose style and identity would capture the joy and conviviality of Emilia-Romagna and ensure Ceci wines were appreciated all over the world. The company is still run by Otello's grandchildren and great-grandchildren whose wine making heritage ensure they can oversee the cellar’s new projects and opportunities. Ceci Otello Rosé is an extra dry sparkling wine produced from Pinot Noir grapes, vinified with the Martinotti method. The wine’s pleasant aroma enhances the international grape variety’s distinctive features , while preserving a markedly Emilian character and verve. Otello Rosé is soft pink in colour with a lively and luminous mousse, an aroma with notes of cherries and berries and a floral and slightly spicy touch. The mouthfeel amplifies the fresh aroma with a fresh and pleasant sparkling taste. Ideal as an aperitif wine to drink in company on any occasion, this rosé goes excellently with cured meats, but also with light seafood dishes. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Ceci

Deep in the lush green Emilian countryside stands the Ceci winery, born of an ancient passion. Before it was founded, the winery was an inn, the owner of which, Otello, was a great wine connoisseur and enthusiast. The great care and passion he put into his work led him to personally purchase and process the grapes available in the area to produce the Lambrusco he served in his inn. This great passion and knowledge of the terroir, passed down to his children, led to the foundation of the Ceci winery. A company for which knowledge of the raw material and attention to detail are fundamental, right from the very first stages of production. Traditional techniques have been harmoniously combined with more modern ones, contributing to the creation of a special product. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, from cultivation to the wine product, to give you the chance to enjoy some of the best high-quality Emilia-Romagna wines. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ceci - Strada Provinciale di Golese, 99, 43056 Torrile PR. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
