TASTING NOTES

An elegant Brunello, whose grapes from the Ripe al Convento vineyard are harvested after a first careful selection in the vineyard, followed by a fermentation in steel tanks with frequent pumping over for better extraction of anthocyanins and tannins, that characterize color and structure. The subsequent period of aging in wood has allowed to obtain an excellent stability and an increase in aromatic and structural complexity. Ripe at the Convent appears bright ruby red. The nose is rich and varied, with notes ranging from well-ripe fruity, but fresh and crunchy, to floral and then explode with a kaleidoscope of tertiary scents. Among the fruity sensations emerge the inevitable berries along with cherry and pomegranate. Tertiary trays immediately appear pleasant memories of graphite, bitter cocoa and Cuban cigar. Ethereal, spicy, fresh, the nose is a crescendo of sensory discoveries, but it is on the palate that explodes in all its power, well balanced by a dense tannic texture, without any particular harshness. Very long intense aromatic persistence. Perfect with roast red meat or grilled mixed. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC. THE WINERY

Frescobaldi

With a history dating back to the Middle Ages, when Florence was the most important commercial and cultural crossroads in the modern world, the Frescobaldi family has been established as one of the leading wineries in Tuscany for centuries. The Frescobaldi vineyards cover a total of 1,200 hectares, spread over several estates, each with its own characteristic microclimate and terroir. The distinctive strength of this winery lies in the ability of its managers to enhance the diversity and uniqueness of the Tuscan territory. Agronomists and oenologists work together to cultivate the vines in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner. Involved in this enterprise for 700 years, the Frescobaldi family has skilfully kept up with innovations, interpreting the most prized red wine labels with absolute mastery, including the Chianti, the Brunello di Montalcino and the Rosso di Montalcino. But all wines from the Frescobaldi winery contain a kaleidoscopic bouquet of aromas and flavours that give them an exceptional personality, perceptible at a glance. Name and address of producer/distributor: Frescobaldi - Via Aretina 120, 50065 Sieci Firenze (FI). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
