TASTING NOTES

Brunello di Montalcino di Mastrojanni is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes and aged for 36 months in Allier oak barrels, then aged in the company’s cellars for a further 6 months. The intense and warm ruby red color anticipates a wide-ranging aroma accompanied by notes of pulpy and ripe fruit enriched with spicy nuances, underbrush notes and pleasant balsamic hints. In the mouth a dense and silky tannic texture admirably supported by a fragrant acidity leads with great elegance to a long and persistent finish. The perfect match with game meat, lamb, red grilled meats and mature cheeses. To fully appreciate the style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.

Since 1975, Cantina Mastrojanni has been writing Italian wine history with its Tuscan wines of excellence, achieving local and international recognition. One of the best-known producers of Brunello di Montalcino, the Mastrojanni winery has been able to make a qualitative change to the area's wine, employing traditional techniques combined with a strong passion for nature and the history of the land. The Mastrojanni farm is located in the heart of the Brunello land, in the province of Siena, where an ancient artistic and cultural tradition meet in an area dedicated to the production of this important wine, an area with varied and unique soils. Carrying on the traditions of Brunello processing, Mastrojanni opts to use brushed concrete vitrified wine vessels, essential in the micro-oxygenation process, to achieve the balance and taste of traditional Tuscan red wines. Today, the company works with more than 200 associate producers, involved in all processes, from grape picking to vinification in the winery, to ensure the production of a unique, high-quality Brunello di Montalcino.
