TASTING NOTES

Production

The wine is distilled in two stages using a Charentais still, following the Cognac method, resulting in a spirit with an alcohol content of 72%. This is followed by ageing in small French oak barrels for a full 10 years, during which, as well as absorbing the precious aromas of the wood and maturing through exposure to oxygen, the brandy is diluted to 44% alcohol by volume – the perfect strength to express all its flavours and nuances in the glass. The 10-Year-Old Traditional Blend Brandy is a blend of several vintages, with the number on the label representing the youngest.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It has a glossy amber colour. The nose is very complex, with aromas of dates and coffee, sweet spices such as cinnamon and liquorice, leather and tea leaves. On the palate, it is smooth and intense with a lovely long finish.

Occasion and Pairing

A Bolognese brandy to be savoured sip by sip after dinner.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this brandy should be served at a temperature of 16–20°C.

THE WINERY

Villa Zarri

Ville D'Arfanta is located in an area of the Veneto that has always been devoted to wine production. Its approximately 18,000 hectares of vineyards are located between the municipalities of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso. The reputation of these lands is also demonstrated by their recognition as a Unesco heritage site. The location of the winery favours the production of wines and sparkling wines of the highest quality. In fact, the climate tends to be sunny and breezy, but protected from cold and damaging northern currents. The best known products that distinguish the Ville d'Arfanta offer are the Prosecco Doc and the White wine Valdobbiadene. What also distinguishes the winery is a love for the tradition of the area, handed down by the Serena family, owners of Ville d'Arfanta. Giorgio and Gerardo personally and manually cultivate the grapes and wait until maturation to select only the best. All this is accompanied by modern technological innovations, which complement the original techniques. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ville d'Arfanta - Via Camillo Bianchi, 1 31015 Conegliano (TV). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
