TASTING NOTES

Production

Following fermentation and maceration lasting 18 days, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques. Finally, it undergoes a further 6 months of ageing in the bottle. The Merlot harvest usually takes place in the first half of September, whilst the Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested in the second half of the month. Each variety is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation takes place, followed by skin contact lasting approximately 28 days. Before final blending, the different wines are aged for 12 months in French oak barriques. 100 ml: E=368 kJ/87.9 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

This Bolgheri Rosso stands out for its intense, brilliant red colour with violet hues. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and complex, with hints of wild berries, jam, plum and violet intertwining with notes of roasted coffee, tobacco and leather. The finish is smooth, with delicate hints of vanilla. On the palate, there is a perfect balance between its powerful structure and the finesse of the mouthfeel, enriched by pronounced tannins and a slightly balsamic aftertaste.

Occasion and Pairing

A versatile wine, capable of accompanying refined dishes based on red meats and game.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

THE WINERY

Bell'Aja

The origins of this reality have their roots in the Etruscan era, as evidenced by the finds found on the estate, attributable to the peoples of Etruria. These redesigned the Chianti landscape, transforming a territory dominated by pastoralism into an agricultural area, giving rise to the cultivation of vines. Today, San Felice is known as the home of three of Tuscany's most prestigious wine estates. The vineyards extend across the region's three most renowned wine-growing areas: Chianti Classico with 150 hectares, approximately 400 meters above sea level, where the harmonious balance between soil and microclimate is perfect; Campogiovanni with 23 hectares located on the southwestern slope of Montalcino, surrounded by valleys and rivers; and Bolgheri with 15 hectares magnificently overlooking the sea, with vines planted on silt-sandy soil. Savor the history of this winery, and try its wines like Bolgheri . Name and address of manufacturer/distributor: Società Agricola San Felice SpA - Piazza Tre Torri 3, 20145 Milan (MI). The products of this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
