Following fermentation and maceration lasting 18 days, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques. Finally, it undergoes a further 6 months of ageing in the bottle. The Merlot harvest usually takes place in the first half of September, whilst the Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested in the second half of the month. Each variety is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation takes place, followed by skin contact lasting approximately 28 days. Before final blending, the different wines are aged for 12 months in French oak barriques. 100 ml: E=368 kJ/87.9 kcal
This Bolgheri Rosso stands out for its intense, brilliant red colour with violet hues. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and complex, with hints of wild berries, jam, plum and violet intertwining with notes of roasted coffee, tobacco and leather. The finish is smooth, with delicate hints of vanilla. On the palate, there is a perfect balance between its powerful structure and the finesse of the mouthfeel, enriched by pronounced tannins and a slightly balsamic aftertaste.
A versatile wine, capable of accompanying refined dishes based on red meats and game.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
