TASTING NOTES

After the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, and the must ferments in temperature-controlled steel tanks, following a brief contact with dry ice to enhance complexity and aroma. The maceration on the skins lasts for 15 days, ensuring a deep color and robust structure. The wine matures for a long period in large oak barrels for 5 years, followed by resting in the bottle. It presents itself with an intense garnet red color, enveloped in a broad and elegant aroma, delicately spiced, with notes of flowers and small red fruits. On the palate, it offers an opulent structure, supported by soft tannins, intertwined with flavors of ripe fruit and licorice. Its extraordinary aging potential makes it an ideal companion for red meats and game dishes, but it also pairs beautifully with rich fish dishes, such as baked turbot, and with fine cheeses. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 18°C. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Bel Colle

In the splendid setting of the Langhe, in Piedmont, stands the Bel Colle farm. Since 1974, its founders, the Pontignne brothers and their friend Giuseppe Priola, have aimed to bottle excellent wines, enhancing the tradition and uniqueness of the area that hosts them. The Bel Colle vineyards extend into an area particularly suited to the production of Barolo, on a chestnut hill. The plots are located between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, enjoying favorable exposure and microclimate that give the grapes an intense and persistent aroma. In 2015, the company was acquired by the Bosio family, who applied several technological innovations to production processes, while still respecting the values always promoted by the Bel Colle winery. Large French oak barrels hold the important reds for at least five years, before they are transferred to the bottle. Sipping Bel Colle wines, you'll be enchanted by the garnet reflections and the spicy yet delicate aroma, characteristics sought after by all lovers of Piedmontese red wines. Savor the wines of the Langhe of this fantastic winery. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Bel Colle - Via Castagni, 56 - 12060 Verduno (CN). The products of this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
