A wine that epitomises the Langhe tradition, Barolo Falletto is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the renowned Falletto cru, situated in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba. Vinification follows a rigorous, classic style: traditional fermentation, long maceration on the skins and extended ageing in large oak barrels. The aim is to preserve the identity of the terroir and the wine’s longevity, without resorting to technical interventions.
It has an intense garnet-red colour, with orange hues that emerge with ageing. The bouquet is complex and deep: notes of wilted rose, violet, ripe cherry and plum, followed by tertiary aromas of liquorice, tobacco, sweet spices, leather and undergrowth. On the palate, it is structured, austere and elegant. The tannins are pronounced but finely integrated, supported by good freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with spicy and balsamic notes.
It pairs perfectly with rich, structured dishes from traditional cuisine such as braised and roasted red meats, game (wild boar, hare, venison) or truffle risotto.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 18–20°C.
