Roberto Voerzio's Barolo Brunate is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the prestigious Brunate cru, located between the municipalities of La Morra and Barolo. Production is extremely rigorous: very low yields, manual harvesting and winemaking attentive to the maximum concentration and expression of the fruit. The aging takes place in French oak barriques and barrels, with long and calibrated times, to obtain a wine with great structure but at the same time elegant.
Deep and bright garnet red, with ruby highlights in the younger versions. Wide and intense bouquet: ripe red fruits (cherry, raspberry), pink and purple, followed by notes of sweet spices, cocoa, tobacco, licorice and light balsamic nuances. On the palate it is powerful, enveloping and precise. The tannic texture is dense and silky, supported by great concentration and remarkable balance. The ending is very long, with spicy and mineral returns.
Ideal with structured and intense dishes: braised or roasted red meats, noble game, dishes with the Alba white truffle.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 18°C.
