TASTING NOTES

Production

The grapes come from the Brunate vineyards, with spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts for about 25 days in Slavonian oak vats, followed by 36 months of aging in large oak barrels and an additional 3 months in the bottle.

Organoleptic Characteristics

A melancholic and contemplative wine, it appears in the glass with an intense ruby red color and elegant, delicate aromas of small fruits, flowers, aromatic herbs, and spices. The taste is full and persistent, with notes of flowers and raisins emerging in succession.

Occasion and Pairing

A Barolo that can evolve and mature for up to 20 years, it is perfect when paired with aged cheeses or main meat dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Giuseppe Rinaldi

A winery that has now become legendary. Giuseppe Rinaldi, known as “Citrico”, has represented the tradition and craftsmanship of the Langa at its best for years. A nickname given because of the “sour” character and that note of “citrus freshness” that characterised all his wines, especially Barolo and Nebbiolo. Having passed away a few years ago, his work is carried on by his daughter Marta Rinaldi with meticulous fidelity to his father's teachings. Attention to the vineyard and care of the environment surrounding the vineyards, minimisation of interventions in the winery, respect for Piedmontese traditions, from long ageing to the use of large Slavonian oak barrels for refinement, not the secrets but the modus operandi handed down through generations that allows Giuseppe Rinaldi wines to be unique and unmistakable, unquestionable points of reference in the production of Piedmontese wines. Name and address of producer/distributor: Giuseppe Rinaldi - Via Monforte, 3, 12060 Barolo CN. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
