TASTING NOTES

Barolo Arione comes from a very strict selection of grapes in the vineyard and a work in the cellar patient and always very respectful of the raw material, ensuring excellence with a classic and elegant profile. Barolo Arione is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, made according to the most ancient customs of the territory. At the end of the classic red vinification with maceration on the skins, the red wine rests in large oak barrels for at least 48 months, acquiring depth, substance and structure. The color is pretty intense garnet red and the bouquet is particularly complex and refined, with floral scents of violet, aromatic herbs, small ripe ross fruits, spicy notes and hints of graphite. The mouthfeel is deep, robust and austere, with a dense tannic texture and very persistent aromas. The finish is long and pleasing crispness. Perfect with red meat roasts or mixed grills. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Conterno

In the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the Piedmont countryside, lies the Conterno Winery. Here, the family of the same name that founded the winery is committed to producing and bottling its Barolo in search of the best balance and perfect quality. The winery's constant work has allowed it to evolve into the great establishment it is today, where the oldest traditions are still carefully followed, alongside the most modern and avant-garde techniques, to offer high-quality Piedmontese wines and unmistakably stylish red wines from Piedmont. Since it was founded, the fame of Conterno wines has spread throughout the area, giving the winery a meteoric rise. The success, however, has not affected the stable foundations of the family, which still works together in its production chain today. Their strengths remain the same: care for tradition, a search for expression of the terroir and a deep respect for what Piedmontese nature has to offer. Name and address of producer/distributor: Conterno - Via Ginestra, 1, 12065 Monforte d'Alba (CN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
