Bartolo Mascarello’s Barolo is a high-quality red wine, produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes grown in vineyards located in the municipality of Barolo, in the Langhe. Vinification follows a traditional approach, with spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts in wooden vats, a long maceration on the skins and ageing in large oak barrels to preserve the purity of the Nebbiolo.
This wine has an intense garnet-red colour that tends to take on an orange hue with ageing. On the nose, it is complex and rich, with aromas of ripe red fruits, spices, dried flowers and a hint of balsamic herbs. On the palate, Bartolo Mascarello Barolo is structured, with elegant tannins and good acidity that give it a fresh and dynamic character, culminating in a long, persistent finish.
This wine pairs wonderfully with Piedmontese dishes such as roasts, braised meats, game and mature cheeses. It is ideal for special occasions and elegant dinners, but can also be enjoyed during moments of quiet wine appreciation.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 18–20°C.
