TASTING NOTES

Production

Barbaresco Serraboella is a Piedmontese red wine of great finesse and elegance, a perfect expression of its terroir of origin, characterised by marly soils and vines aged between 15 and 55 years, with excellent exposure.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it presents a transparent, brilliant ruby red colour; its bouquet highlights small red fruits and violets, followed by notes of undergrowth and cloves. On the palate, it is elegant and balanced, with lively, integrated tannins that highlight its freshness, ensuring this wine’s great longevity over time.

Occasion and Pairing

Cigliuti’s Serraboella is perfect for a Sunday lunch, an ideal companion to traditional Piedmontese cuisine and beyond; it is recommended with ravioli del plin and game, accompanied by excellent white truffle from Alba.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Cigliuti

For the founder of the Cigliuti winery, the secret of the family wine lies in the land where the vines are cultivated. The terroir of Langhe, with its extraordinary properties, is capable of producing a unique wine to be processed with care and attention. Where the soil faces south-west, and has a more limestone composition, Docetto and Nebbiolo are cultivated, while in the south-eastern, clay-rich part, Barbera is grown. Of course, a lot depends on looking after the land and the respect for the vines' timing, but the work in the cellar also contributes to making this production special. Native yeasts and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel are some of the elements that make these wines so special. Striving for quality and excellence in an original and exclusive way in all aspects of production will allow you to discover the best of these Piedmontese wines, and discover the most authentic character of this land in every glass. Name and address of producer/distributor: Cigliuti - Via Serraboella, 17, 12052 Neive CN. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
