TASTING NOTES

Barbaresco Montefico is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes coming from Cru Montefico in Barbaresco. The grapes ferment in steel at controlled temperature and age for 26 months in French oak barrels and for 3 months in steel containers. Barbaresco Montefico from Carlo Giacosa winery is an elegant red wine, with a beautiful garnet red color. The bouquet is intense, very elegant and floral with notes of ripe red berries and jam. Harmonious, full, balanced and with a good structure, Barbaresco Montefico is perfect to be tasted together with meat dishes or well-aged cheeses. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.

Carlo Giacosa winery is located in Barbaresco, land of fine wines. The founder, Donato Giacosa, turned his passion for grafting into a job. Today, the current owner of the winery is Maria Grazia Giacosa, who with the help of her father Carlo and son Luca, leads 5 hectares of estate vineyards located in the municipality of Barbaresco. Vineyards where native varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto are produced.
