TASTING NOTES

Production

Barbaresco Asili is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, with very low yields and maceration in stainless steel tanks. It is then aged in large oak barrels for 3 years.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it displays a luminous garnet color, offering endless nuances of fresh, deep, and intriguing fruit on the nose, including notes of blood orange, chinotto, and wild strawberries. On the palate, sweet spices emerge with tannins that feel like pure silk. The finish is long, fresh, and ever-evolving.

Occasion and Pairing

Perfect to enjoy alongside red meat dishes, such as roasts and braises, or with a delicious porcini mushroom risotto.

Serving Temperature

The company represents a unique reference point for the entire Langhe area, in Piedmont, synonymous with territoriality and tradition. Founded in the early 1900s in the commune of Neive, it was not until the early 1980s, with the purchase of the Falletto vineyard in the commune of Serralunga, that the Bruno Giacosa labels began to establish themselves on the wine market. Cultivation takes place on a daily basis, and all with the utmost care and attention to detail. Today, the extension of the vineyards reaches 20 hectares, including many acquisitions that have been made at successive times since the foundation, to offer a great variety of incomparable red wines. The mid-1990s saw the first vinification of the Asili and Rabajà crus, following which the great Barbaresco came into the company. Extreme fidelity to the terroir and its versions, precise and enveloping expressions of Nebbiolo. The Langhe tradition from A to Z.
