TASTING NOTES

Production

The Amarone della Valpolicella Pietro Dal Cero is the result of recent company investments aimed at engaging with the great Veronese red. The grapes come from vineyards in the eastern Valpolicella and are dried for four months before being vinified in stainless steel. The wine ages in barriques for 24 months, then returns to stainless steel. After 12 months, it will be bottled, where it will remain for an additional 2 years before being released from the winery.

Organoleptic Characteristics

The Amarone della Valpolicella Pietro dal Cero is a modern and contemporary interpretation of the wine. It has a deeply intense and compact ruby color, with its structure evident in the slow, sinuous movements of the liquid. The concentration is apparent on the nose, with dark aromas of blackberry, sour cherry, dark chocolate, and sweet tobacco. On the palate, it is smooth and alluring, yet well-supported by an acidic backbone that keeps the drinking experience vibrant.

Occasion and Pairing

Tasty and captivating, it will be the perfect companion for an Amarone braised dish or aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

THE WINERY

Ca' dei Frati

Cantina Ca' dei Frati is one of the main wine landmarks in the Lake Garda area, an estate that has been producing excellent quality wines since 1939. It was born from the passion of the Dal Cero family, which was able to combine skill and love for the terroir. The Lugana area of Sirmione, where countless rows of vines belonging to Ca' dei Frati now thrive, was once known as the place of monks, as it belonged to the bishop's curia. Since the first Lugana, the company has succeeded in creating truly unique bottles: from a fine white wine with great elegance to the sparkling version. Ca' dei Frati wines, an exceptional example of Lombardy wines, are the result of meticulous study of the land and vines, the secrets of which have been handed down for four generations. Safeguarding the raw material is the main aim of the entire production process, refined from year to year through innovative and up-to-date techniques, skilfully balanced with decades-long tradition. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ca' dei Frati - Via Frati, 22, 25019 Lugana di Sirmione (BS). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
