The Amarone della Valpolicella Pietro Dal Cero is the result of recent company investments aimed at engaging with the great Veronese red. The grapes come from vineyards in the eastern Valpolicella and are dried for four months before being vinified in stainless steel. The wine ages in barriques for 24 months, then returns to stainless steel. After 12 months, it will be bottled, where it will remain for an additional 2 years before being released from the winery.
The Amarone della Valpolicella Pietro dal Cero is a modern and contemporary interpretation of the wine. It has a deeply intense and compact ruby color, with its structure evident in the slow, sinuous movements of the liquid. The concentration is apparent on the nose, with dark aromas of blackberry, sour cherry, dark chocolate, and sweet tobacco. On the palate, it is smooth and alluring, yet well-supported by an acidic backbone that keeps the drinking experience vibrant.
Tasty and captivating, it will be the perfect companion for an Amarone braised dish or aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.
