TASTING NOTES

The name of Giuseppe Quintarelli is a guide in the wine scene of Valpolicella, representing the true essence of a territory that is recognized as one of the most prestigious in Italy and in the world. The farm is located in the valley of Negrar, with about twelve hectares of vineyards where the vineyards of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara are cultivated. The name Tre Terre refers to the origin of the grapes of the new masterpiece of the Quintarelli family. His style, with its more pronounced tannins, spiciness and spicy acidity, differs greatly from the company’s classic Amarone range. Amarone Tre Terre is made from Croatina, Nebbiolo, Rondinella, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Corvina Veronese, grapes from the municipalities of Negrar, Marano and Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella. After a manual harvest of the grapes and alcoholic fermentation, the aging takes place in Slovenian oak barrels for 8 years. Red cherries and aromatic herbs are in the foreground, and overall it has a surprising minerality and objectivity for an Amarone, making it more recognizable as an aristocratic Barolo than as a more powerful Amarone. A perfect combination that goes well with meat dishes, great to drink on important occasions. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC. THE WINERY

Quintarelli Giuseppe

The Quintarelli winery is located not far from the centre of Cerè in the municipality of Negrar, on the Cà Paletta mountain in the province of Verona. It is located, to be precise, on the eastern side of the Negrar valley, while its vineyards face west. Its privileged position has immediately favoured wine production that is rich in character. In addition to the production of Valpolicella, Cantina Quintarelli is also and above all known for its large production of Amarone. Its work, its constant commitment and dedication to respecting the terroir and the unique timing of the wines, combined with the study of the most innovative techniques, has led this company to distinguish itself in the production of fine red wines from Veneto that tell the best of this region in every glass. The training system of the vineyards boasts two completely different methods: while in the old plantations the training system is Pergola Veronese, the Guyot method is followed in the new ones. The end result is a unique and lively product, all to be experienced. Name and address of producer/distributor: Quintarelli Giuseppe - Via Cerè, 1, 37024 Negrar (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
