Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Etichetta Rossa is the youngest of the Amarone wines, made from Corvina and Corvinone grapes with a small percentage of Rondinella. The clusters are handpicked, with only the best destined for this wine. After a period of drying in fruit-drying rooms, the grapes are softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks with frequent pump-overs. This Amarone ages for three years, spending one year in French oak tonneaux, one year in Slavonian oak barrels, and one year in the bottle.
Intense ruby red in color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it presents well-defined notes of maraschino cherries, ripe blackberries, black currants, and sour cherries, combined with dried fruit, cocoa, coffee, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is generous, warm, and enveloping, full-bodied with vibrant acidity. The tannins are soft and silky, leading to a long finish.
A Veneto red perfect for enjoying a Sunday lunch with friends and family. It pairs well with red meats, roasts, braised dishes, and game.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.
